MIMI’S MONTHLY ROUNDUP: JULY FAVOURITES

And just like that, July is coming to a close. It’s been such a busy month, but the start of the summer has been a blast. I’ve been lucky enough to check in with some of my beautiful clients at the Mimi et Mina salon, as well as try out some super exciting products and share my top hair care tips over on Instagram. To see more of what I’ve been up to this month, head over to YouTube and check out my channel Mimi Koné and be sure to subscribe for exclusive hair, business and lifestyle content.

As part of a brand new series here on my blog, I’d love to share with you what I’ve been absolutely loving this month. And so, without further ado…here is Mimi’s monthly roundup – a whistlestop tour of all the things that have captured my senses in July 2022.

Mimi watches…Sex Education

This comedy-drama created by Laurie Nunn has to be one of my all-time favourite Netflix series. Starring the likes of Asa Butterfield, Emma Mackey and the gorgeous Gillian Anderson, the show follows a bunch of horny teenagers and their hilarious escapades – perfect for when I fancy something light, funny and, occasionally, heartfelt. Plus, a fourth season of the hit show has now been confirmed – I’m counting down the days!

Mimi listens to…The Diary of a CEO with Steven Bartlett podcast

Steven Bartlett’s The Diary of a CEO podcast is actually a show that I listen to every week without fail. As a fellow entrepreneur, I’m really intrigued by other people who have founded their own businesses, and it’s interesting to hear them speak about their journeys and all the challenges that they have encountered on the way to the top. Some of the guests have incredibly inspiring stories, and so I’d highly recommend it if you’re on the lookout for a podcast to get stuck into.

Mimi smells…Le Sables Roses by Louis Vuitton

This exquisite unisex fragrance by legendary maison Louis Vuitton is such a timeless scent. Created by Jacques Cavallier, it’s a stunning blend of pungent rose with definite woody undertones, courtesy of oud. A hint of black pepper gives the perfume a certain sharpness – I am completely obsessed.

Mimi touches…Moisture Surge 100H Auto-Replenishing Hydrator by Clinique

Clinique’s Moisture Surge range is iconic in the world of skincare, but it is one of their more recent product launches that has got me excited this month. Packed with the magic ingredient hyaluronic acid – which helps the skin retain its moisture – this refreshing gel-cream is ideal for when my skin needs some long-lasting hydration.

Mimi tastes…Parisian cuisine at the restaurant Pavyllon

A quick trip to Paris meant stopping off at the Michelin-starred Pavyllon, located in the eastern part of the Champs-Élysées. With its classic charm, I couldn’t resist a spot of fine dining, sampling its delicious authentic French menu. The historic restaurant, created by Yannick Alléno, has a beautiful ambience – I hope to visit again very soon!
