How I manage my wig/weave while exercising! January back to the Gym!
I love my wigs and I also love to exercise!
During spring and summer, between 7am and 9am you will always find me running in Hyde Park!
During the winter season, I am either at the gym or at Barry's. It's a killer but I love it. As an entrepreneur it sets me up for the day, clears my mind and brings focus and discipline to my day.
I don't know about you, but I have had to learn the hard way to manage my wigs when I was working out. Especially if you are wearing very long hair like the Timeless Mimi or the Timeless Mina wig that has 3 bundles of Indonesian hair and an Indonesian HD lace closure.
So to make things easier for you, here are my top 3 pieces of advice on how to manage your wig and avoid it looking greasy!
- Use a dry shampoo after the gym and when the hair has dried from the sweat
- If you are not in a rush, just shampoo the front of your wig, the closure part and straighten it
- Use a headband and wrap the hair away from your face, wear it simply like a ponytail
Lastly, in order to be able to exercise with a wig it is important to invest in quality hair that will last. If you are wearing poor quality hair, be assured that this will tangle over time.
