This month has been a whirlwind for us here at Mimi et Mina, it’s been non-stop! I have been working hard to elevate the in-store experience and transform the salon into a hub where my lovely clients can come and discover the very best afro and curly haircare brands out there. To reflect this new chapter, our website is now a modern e-commerce platform, through which you can purchase quality, high-performing products that I absolutely love. It’s such an exciting time for us at Mimi et Mina, and I can’t wait for you to check out St. Claire’s, Mane Bliss, Uhuru, and Nguvu.
To see more of what I’ve been up to this October, be sure to head over to our Instagram and follow us for exclusive haircare tips, product recommendations and lifestyle content.
In the meantime, I’d love to share with you what I’ve been obsessed with lately. Here is Mimi’s monthly roundup – a whistlestop tour of all the things that have captured my senses in September 2022.
Mimi sees…Ted Lasso on Apple TV+
Sports comedy-drama Ted Lasso has been my saviour this month, it is brilliant for helping me unwind after a busy day. Also, Apple TV+ really gives you that immersive cinema feel, so it might even be time to bid farewell to my precious Netflix…
Mimi listens to…The Diary of a CEO with Steven Bartlett podcast
Steven Bartlett’s The Diary of a CEO podcast never fails to inspire me, and this month I loved listening to the episode featuring Soho House founder Nick Jones. It all started with him working in the back of a restaurant peeling potatoes, and it is incredible to see how far he has come. I love self-made stories, as they remind me that the sky’s the limit for my own business aspirations.
Mimi smells…Santal 33 by Le Labo
There’s a reason why Le Labo’s Santal 33 scent is so widely adored. Deliciously woody and smooth, it isn’t at all harsh. In fact, its warm spiciness is distinctly comforting, making it the ideal seasonal transition fragrance.
Mimi feels…COS cashmere
Sumptuous knits by COS are getting me super excited about autumn – I’m such a cosy girl at heart and their pieces are exceptional quality at a decent price point.
Mimi tastes…Polish cuisine at the restaurant Ognisko
Kensington’s Ognisko is the first Polish restaurant that I have ever been to, and it feels long overdue! The food and cocktails were absolutely amazing, alongside its decadent décor – I’d absolutely recommend it.
Bisous,
Mimi
